good quality for larger cats since it is heavy

I tried to use this on my just-neutered kitten and it was off in no time. His neck measures about seven inches and this collar was just too loose. The small would have been a better size to try. I think the medium would work best on a cat that's larger since there isn't an adjustment to tighten the fit around the neck. And the lack of anything to tighten this "cone" is my only complaint. The neck sizes vary too much to have a limited number of sizes without an adjustment. Imagine buying a pair of shoes that come in small and medium but no show laces to keep them on your feet perfectly. I'd only recommend this if your pet has an almost exact neck size to match the product's measurement.

What sets the MayMaw Balloon Cat Cone Collar apart is its ingenious inflatable design. Unlike the traditional solid cones that can be uncomfortable and restrict your cat's movement, this soft, hand-press inflatable collar offers unparalleled comfort.
Operating the MayMaw Cat Cone Collar is a breeze. It inflates quickly and easily, and the adjustable strap ensures a secure fit without causing any discomfort to my furry friend. The best part is its foldable and lightweight design, making it easy to store when not in use, and the collar can be wiped clean effortlessly. It's a win-win solution providing comfort and convenience for you and your cat.

I really do need to read the full description, but when in a hurry and there are limited options I went with this for my cat before being spayed. The fact that it's inflatable, was just a risk I didn't want to take. But I do have a dog, and will be able to use it in him if we need to. It's always good to have back ups and supplies ready to go incase if emergencies. And my corgi can't use the big plastic cones, he's too stubby. So if the time comes we have it prepared in the pet supply kit ready to go

I've used conventional cones and the newer, softer fabric ones, which theoretically more acceptable to cats. But an inflatable one like this isn't something I've used before.
This "cone," which is really more like a travel pillow, lol, inflates with a built-in pump, and that works really well. When it's inflated, it provides a soft and more comfortable barrier to keep cats from licking and chewing on healing incisions, rashes, etc.
Be careful with the sizing when you order it, as it's fairly large when inflated, and there's no drawstring or Velcro to adjust the circumference of the neck opening. So it may not work for every cat.

I don't love the look of this kitty collar, but I mean it's better than the cone of shame.
I was worried that it wouldn't be soft enough and that my kitty might scratch herself, but it works very well.
She tried her hardest to get it off and it didn't budge.
I'm impressed! It works and gets the job done.

To start there were no instructions on how to blow this up, and keep air in it, and there’s no way to attach it to a collar or anything like that. It’s expected to just sit freely around your cats neck and has no way of preventing them from kicking them off themselves, it’s that start of a great idea but needs more craftsmanship.

After pumping it up, the MayMaw Balloon Cat Cone Collar Soft is not really very soft. It’s more of a rigid disk that unfortunately is too big for my cat. It almost drags along the floor as she walks. The material is strong and well made but it didn’t stay inflated over night.

My kitty had surgery and I had this waiting for her at home so that she would be more comfortable than she would be with a traditional e-collar. The issue was that I couldn't keep it on her because I ordered the medium (for large cats) and it was way too big... she had it off in 15 seconds. My girl is a Maine Coon/Persian blend and she's pretty substantial. Because of this I'm going to review the product as it is and not how it worked to be fair.
The built-in pump worked great. It took less than a minute to fill the collar. It held air without seepage even the next day. The fabric is awesome. I can't imagine even the sharpest kitty claws getting through it. It's a very well-constructed product using excellent materials.

I didn't really expect much when I bought this collar. I was just trying out many different versions of collars to help my cat out who had recently returned from the Pet Hospital.
But I was pleasantly surprised with this one.
.
At first I thought: "an inflatable collar? That's interesting, but won't it puncture and break with cat's claws?" That was the first issue I had with it. But, thankfully, this material is made up of some stronger stuff. To the point where cat claws and human brute force aren't enough to puncture into the "skin" of the inflatable collar.
However, I must warn others that it's a rather LARGE collar and doesn't really have a cone shape like other cat cones. It's more of a "fan/disk-like shape" than anything else. So there will be some maneuverability problems with your pet. But it does work in stopping them from reaching their face.

This is a great concept. It seems like a much better option than a typical e-collar. In the case of my little guy after an invasive intestinal surgery, I actually used both this and an e-collar, so he looked like a flower. Unfortunately he found his way out of both and in the case of the inflatable collar, he was able to pop it. That surprised me because the material seems very durable, but he’s determined. The biggest issue is how easy it is for the cat to get it off. Even on a 13 pound cat this was too loose. I love the concept and with some tweaking this could be a great product.

Really nice and comfortable but my kitten did get it off 5 hours after her spaying surgery.

I was expecting to to have some inward curve, like the traditional cone. It inflated into a flat disk shape instead. While it may work on a larger cat, my 8 month of kitten couldn’t even lay down while wearing it because the diameter was too large.

Th inflatable cone has a great concept of a built-in inflator. It’s very light, and easy to set up.
My only complaint is that it’s wider than I thought for a cat - see photos. My cat couldn’t reach far enough to eat or drink. It might be better suited for a dog with a longer snout.
